Biographies

James W. Spink [1] is an AV-rated trial attorney with extensive litigation experience in all Vermont courts.  Mr. Spink is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.  Since 1980, Mr. Spink has tried over 125 cases to verdict.  His areas of concentration include transportation, products liability, and professional negligence matters.  Mr. Spink also regularly serves as a mediator and arbitrator.  Mr. Spink received his juris doctor from Albany Law School in 1980.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators.  He received his undergraduate degree, with high honors, from Middlebury College in 1976.


Elizabeth H. Miller [2] represents commercial and individual clients in a variety of complex litigation and administrative matters, including commercial disputes, toxic torts, and products liability.  Ms. Miller served as a law clerk to the Honorable James L. Oakes, Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  Ms. Miller received her juris doctor from Yale Law School in 1995.  She received her B.A. summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1992.


Jon T. Alexander [3] represents individual and corporate clients in all aspects of civil litigation, including commercial disputes, insurance coverage and personal injury matters. Jon graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Northwestern University in 1994, and received his J.D. in 1997 from UCLA School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor of the UCLA Law Review. Jon previously practiced at the Chicago office of Winston & Strawn.

Mary Peterson [4] practices in the areas of commercial litigation, municipal law and utility regulation. Ms. Peterson was elected from Williston to the House of Representatives for six years, serving on the Ways & Means Committee.  Previously she was Chair of the Williston Selectboard, and on the Board of the Vermont League of Cities and Towns.  Ms. Peterson started her law career at the Boston firm of Sullivan & Worcester, and was special counsel at the Vermont Department of Public Service.  She received her juris doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 1985, and her B.A., summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from St. Lawrence University, 1982.
